The Copper Water opens the Mathew Kuruvila investigation series — a mystery set in the backwaters of Kerala, where a decades-old secret resurfaces and pulls a community's carefully kept silences apart. It's written with what Joseph calls "Copper Water discipline": restrained, sensory prose, controlled information release, and emotion carried through observation rather than statement.
The manuscript is complete and is currently being prepared for submission to Indian publishers, including HarperCollins India, Westland Books, and Speaking Tiger.
